Michelle Herbowy, Acting Interim Principal
Dear Hamilton Heights School Community,
It is with great pride and excitement that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed interim acting Principal of Hamilton Heights School for the 2014-2015 school year. Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of progressive education established at HHS by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners.
My twenty years of educational experience has included early childhood, special education, and comprehensive school reform that emphasizes high achievement through active learning, character growth, and teamwork. My most recent administrative experience is informed by three years of leadership for the DOE's special education reform and four years in NYC schools as an instructional coach for Expeditionary Learning Outward Bound. The most important experiences, however, have been the years that I have spent teaching. Working with children and families has always been my passion, and I am thrilled to be a part of Hamilton Heights School to ensure every student’s success in partnership with you.
